When I was young, I always had a favorite book. And although that favorite book changed over the years, it was never far from my side. I read and reread those stories until the pages were worn and the covers faded, refusing to part with them even when they started to fall apart. This story would have easily been one of those books.

From the very first page, I was hooked. I couldn’t put it down. This middle grade fantasy took me back to the adventures of my childhood, bringing back memories of my favorite coming-of-age movies (i.e. Now and Then, The Goonies, Peter Pan, etc.) It has a treasure map, friendship, a fairy, and adventure.

I highly recommend this book to anyone with a love for middle grade fantasies or anyone searching for the perfect gift for a young reader. Written by a talented thirteen-year-old, the storytelling exceeded my expectations and easily drew me into its magical world.-Robin S
